Cochrane park 2011 to 2012

The Olympic Games will be taking over the above sports ground as of April 2012. The ground is to be used as a training base for visiting football teams.
As part of this arrangement the olympic movement will be upgrading the pitches to FIFA level standards which means they will have state of the art drainage and sprinkler systems. This means we will have some of the best surfaces to play on in the area.

As a result of the upgrading of facilities our use of Cochrane Park will be restricted this season. All Alliance home games will be moved to longbenton playing fields on coach lane. A temporary fence will be erected to keep within league rules.
